I'm still working hard on finishing homemade Christmas gifts...next year, I'll have to remember to start a little earlier! When I saw the Family Yahtzee game by The Home Teacher, I knew I had to make it!
I made the blue box for my husband's grandparents, who play Yahtzee every night! I hope they'll enjoy playing their new version. The patriotic version is for my husband's aunt and uncle. And, the last one is for us! I had to make one for myself!
Here are the dice for each of the games...again, first row for grandparents, second row for aunt and uncle, and the last row is for our game. I also printed out some Yahtzee score sheets to include in each box.
I really love the way this turned out!
I really love the way this turned out!
Each game cost approximately $3 to make. I found the boxes (1 for $2.99) and blocks ( 13 for $2.99) at Michael's. Of course, I did use a 50% coupon for each item. I printed off the pictures at home and used scrapbook paper and Mod Podge that I had.
Please feel free to link your homemade gifts too! I would love to see what you've been creating!
That is the coolest toy EVER! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteThis is so amazing. So totally cool. I will have to remember this one for next yr. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI would really love to make one of these because I think they turn out SO cute. You got the blocks at Michael's, too? I thought I remember Keri saying that she ordered them, and that's what stopped me from continuing (because I was too lazy to look it up? LOL).
ReplyDeleteYours are adorable!
That is so awesome!
ReplyDeleteOur Little Family,

ReplyDeleteJust wondering..are the blocks wood? I can't tell from the photos. LOVE this idea!
ReplyDeleteBecky,
ReplyDeleteYes! The blocks are wood. I purchased them from Michael's. I think they were the one-inch blocks.
