I gave Izzie several different sizes of circles for her to create a brown. I was totally impress that her created bear really looked like a bear! However, she did laugh when she put the ears on the side of the bear's head and told me that the bear now looked like a monkey!
I was so excited when she made the bear a face...this was her FIRST time making a "face"! She included eyes, nose, mouth, and a chin!! I was jumping up in delight, so she then continued...as she painted, she informed me that she was making cheeks, eyelashes, eyebrows, and hair...so, her bear ended up looking faceless....maybe, she has been creating "faces" all along and I just didn't know it!!

I love it!!! :) And she looks so happy in the picture!!!
ReplyDeleteMeghan's done faces, but not many. I love the idea of the circles...and still having her paint details. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Her bear looks very cute, and I am glad you managed to capture him on camera before his face got "too detailed" :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so exciting when your child makes that next "step"- whether it's painting a face or going off to college (ahhhhhh- not there yet!)!
ReplyDeleteI love it!! And, how CUTE is that picture of her painting?!
ReplyDeleteBrown Bear is also Maddie's favorite. I think she could hear it over and over and over again... :)
So sweet! We love Brown Bear too. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute little bear! Did you hear about the Brown Bear, Brown Bear fiasco with the Texas State Board of Education last month? They made a motion to remove the book from the curriculum list because they mixed up the author with another that wrote a book on Marxism.
ReplyDeleteHer bear came out so cute, that is so exciting that she made a face!! We love this Bill Martin Jr. series at our house.
