Unfortunately, we were Truth in the Tinsel dropouts this year! However, we did supplement the days that we didn't "officially" complete with Truth in the Tinsel with something else.
Day 12: Census
We made the rice census container last year, so this year we decided to make glass ornaments with left over cake sprinkles!
The girls decided they wanted to draw Joseph and Mary on the outside of the ornament.
Days 13-17
The girls designed a wooden Stable/Manger ornament.
In addition, the girls created these adorable crafts from the Jesus Tea Party.
Nativity Scene tea cup and Baby Jesus Manger craft.
Days 18-24
After Christmas last year, I picked up this set "What God Wants for Christmas", which is an interactive nativity! It comes with a book, divided into 7 days, a manger, and 7 wrapped presents, each containing a figurine to place in the manger during the daily reading. The girls placed the presents under their small Christmas tree and each night, as we read, they opened the designated present.
Other activities included:
Visiting a live nativity...
Christmas Eve candle-light service...
