This particular week at Coop, the Storytime From A to Z letter was "G" and the book was Good Night Gorilla. This book is a favorite in our house! My girls love to retell the story over and over!
After completely the phonics activity from the Storytime From A to Z book, we acted out the story using these Story Props from Kiz Club, which has a ton of story props for a variety of books.
Here are a few other great ideas from Pinterest.

We have given up red meat in our house...it's been at least 9 months and no one is missing it! My husband and I really like stuffed peppers, but I needed to find a new recipe without beef.
Thankfully, there's Pinterest!
This was our first experience with Quinoa...not bad!
Check out the recipe here!
**The only change I would make next time would be to delete the cilantro.**

The last time we were in Books A Million, we spotted the Dr. Seuss Summer Reading Program.
The girls were so excited to read all their Dr. Suess books to earn a free lunch bag! Yes, my tongue is numb! They each needed to read 4 books.
Showing off their new bags!
Enjoying more books!
They can spend hours in a book store...I love seeing their "love" for books!
Be sure to stop by your local Books A Million this summer and join the Dr. Seuss Reading Program.

After completing the phonics activities included in the book, Storytime From A to Z, the girls completed this lunchbox craft.
They were given a sheet of food to color, cut, and paste their "favorites" for their lunchbox.
The following would work great with this book too. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to complete everything.

The girls made me these adorable photo flower planters for Mother's Day! My husband took them to Lowe's Build and Grow workshop...be sure to check out their other summer projects. These are way too cute!! The girls had a blast and were super excited that they received an apron with a completion badge and certificate!
