Day 7: Creation

We are working very slowly on the Bible Timeline Notebook.  Earlier this year, it was my plan to complete Mystery of History: Volume I.  However, that's not going to happen.   After flipping through the Verita Press catalog, I'm rethinking our long term schedule and will probably re-start and finish Mystery of History when Izzie is in second grade.  But, for now...I'll keep sharing what we have already completed before I changed my mind!  

Day 7

 We admired God's world by learning the names and location of each continent. 

In addition, we started another visual timeline.

Music To My Ears

Izzie has been participating in AWANA this year and is loving it! Each week, she is so committed to learning her new verse. Last week, she learned the 27 books of the New Testament.

Awanas!

This is Izzie's first year participating in Awanas and she is loving it! It is so exciting to hear her say the bible verses and she is so committed each week to learn her new verses! In order to receive her first book and vest, she had to say John 3:16.

We practiced and practiced John 3:16, so she would be comfortable saying the verse to her teachers. Izzie can be on the shy side, so I was super proud of her for saying her verse!

Creation Days 1-7

Before we started our Space Unit, I wanted to review Creation with the girls.

As I read the Creation story from their Bible, they placed with correct "day" on the homemade lap felt board (cereal box covered with felt).

I took this Creation Mini Book and used it for our felt board pieces...laminated and added Velcro to the back of each.

The girls placed the Creation Numbers (1-7) on the table and matched up the correct homemade Creation beanbag.
