Snow Day!

Winter is finally here with 9 inches of snow!

Even though it didn't last long...it's suppose to be 65 degrees on Thursday, it was beautiful!

Tot School: Snowmen!

We're still patiently waiting for the arrival of SNOW! In the mean time, here's what was on the Tot Shelf this week...

1. Snowflake pan with "snowballs"

Mac really enjoyed scooping out the snowballs and placing in the snowflake pan!

2. Winter Sensory Bin

3. Open Art: Paper, stickers, stamps, and crayons.

Izzie joined in on the art fun!

4. Letter "S" sorting

5. Snowflake Matching

6. Size Sequencing

7. Numerical Order

This was Mac's least favorite activity on the shelf. However, we tweaked it for Izzie!

I printed off another set of the snowflakes from above, just in black and white, then wrote the number words 1-10 for Izzie to match up the word to the correct number.

**All above printables are from Confessions of a Homeschooler.**

Favorite activity of the week: Crayola Window Crayons!!

Be sure to check out of the Tot School weeks over at 1+1+1=1.

Snowy Winter Day

Somewhere...just not here! Yes, I'm still complaining about the weather! I would love to snuggle up on the couch with a big fuzzy blanket, while reading a good book, and sipping on a warm cup of hot cocoa with tiny marshmallows, as I watched the snow (come down thick and heavy) from the window.

Thankfully, I have two little girls who love to snuggle and read good books with me, regardless of the weather!

Izzie created my ideal blizzard!

We snuggled up and read a ton of winter books, though, Izzie liked this one the best...she loves being able to read most of the words!
