Homemade Egg Wreath

The weather here has been amazing...spring is in the air! So, to celebrate, I wanted to create a new wreath for the front door. After doing a little research, I found this cute Egg Wreath and decided to make my own!

Total cost was $7. I bought a green craft wreath at Michael's for $3 ($4.99, but used a 40% off coupon), 3 packs of eggs and the cute ribbon at the Dollar Tree ($4).

I'm very pleased with the way it turned out! There are a few open spaces, where the green wreath is showing (next time, I may wrap the wreath in fabric/ribbon to cover), but for this one...I may go back and add the basket grass like the tutorial suggested.

Since it was midnight, when I finished, but I wanted to "see" it hanging....I placed it on the half-bath door (pictured above). The next morning, Izzie squealed with delight when she saw it and claimed the half-bath was her bathroom!

Wordless Wednesday: Mommy's Picasso

Look, what I did...

Thanks, Melissa and Doug Cupcake Set! The included markers are easily washable off the cupcakes...not so much off her bedroom door!

Chocolate Playdoh

After seeing Chocolate Playdoh on several blogs, I was inspired to make some too!

This is the recipe that I used. I added cocoa powder until is was my desired color.

The girls had so much fun making heart cookies! The playdoh smelled delicious, which led to a few nibbles!
