Have You Seen My Cat?

Izzie has been completing activities about cats! Check out her activities from "Pete The Cat: I Love My White Shoes" book. Another new read was "Have You Seen My Cat?".

This is an excellent book for a beginner reader! It reviewed some of Izzie's previous sight words, "this, is, my" and introduced her to the newest sight word "not". Izzie LOVED reading this book over and over! It was a great way for her to feel accomplishment after reading!

She completed the following activities from the Cats Preschool Pack created by 1+1+1=1.

Practicing writing the letter "C".

Tracing the alphabet...capital letters.

Filling in the missing alphabet letters.

Tracing words.

Then, writing the words!

Beginning sounds letter cards.

3-part cards...great practice for reading the words!

Word matching. I was amazed how well she was able to match the correct word with the each picture. She completed this activity after tracing the words, writing the words, and completing the 3-part cards, which really helped her recognize each word!

Reading the simple sentences that contained "color" words, then matching the correct color yarn to each cat. A fun way to review color words!

Reading a simple story then finding specific words within the story. I had Izzie circle words she already knew and underline the color words that she knew.

Then, we added a few new words from the packet (bed, yarn, and mouse). She circled these words in a different color.

Math activities included: tracing numbers (1-20)

Filling in the missing numbers

Rolling and Graphing activity

And, a spinning and graphing activity!

Izzie had a lot of fun with this Cat Packet! Be sure to check out all the Preschool Packs and Kindergarten Packs at 1+1+1=1. They are AMAZING!
